YUM!


So, I've decided to start a blog. My first couple posts are probably going to be about food, like this one!

I visited my friend Heather the other day and she made me: Chicken, black beans, and brown rice. Sounds really plain right? Well actually.... IT'S DELICIOUS! I re-created it today and made plenty of leftovers so I can play and create a couple new dishes with it.


Here's how to make it:
1. Take regular old brown rice (1 cup) add to water (2 cups), and add 2 tsp of extra virgin olive oil, and boil. Then simmer for 45-50 minutes on low.
2. drain and rinse can of black beans
3. drain can of chicken
4. mix beans and chicken with rice and voila!
